I knew something was wrong

Last weeks weigh in was a disaster if you looked purely at the figure on the scales, a gain of 5.5lbs. It had not been a good week eating wise for me, but all the extra food I ate that previous week would not of added up to my weigh gain, I was not a happy bunny. Something was wrong, something was very wrong. I left the slimming class on a mission, I decided to do a food diary for the week, this is where you list everything you eat everyday for 7 days (basically until your next weigh in), it is a great deterrent to not eating the extras as you would then have to add it to the diary. Well tonight was my next weigh in and it has to be said, I had had a good week with three exceptions, an Indian meal out to celebrate our wedding anniversary, fish and chips for lunch on Saturday in Swanage and apple crumble and white chocolate brownies for tea last night. I was hoping for a loss, couple of pounds max, I certainly was not expecting the 8lb loss that the scales showed!

I could not believe it, I really think it is what I have now called a bodily anormally. If you take out the 5.5lb gain last week that means I lost 2.5lbs this week, around what I expected, if I had put on 1.5lb last week which is what I would of expected then I was up for a 4lb loss this week, which is a realistic figure for a weeks loss for me. I am not sure what or how but my body was playing tricks with me last week. To confuse the issue there was no bike riding last week due to my back injury so was part of the loss due to me resting??

I now plan to do a diary for this coming week and hopefully be as good as I was this week, I certainly won’t be looking for the same loss next week. But I will hopefully be looking forward to standing on the scales and seeing what they say.

A diary of what I’ve eaten for a week, I’ll need a big notepad for that. But joking aside, it’s an idea I think I’ll have a go at.
    Cheers.

It simple and easy but you have to be perfectly honest with yourself, if you eat a doughnut at teabreak then write it in your diary, if you are not honest with yourself then there no point in doing it.

I find it also stops me having those sweets and biscuit as I don’t want to have to add them to the diary, pity I have to add a packet of Dorito to my diary!!
