Same old, Same old
Thought it was time to post an update, it is about 4 weeks since my last ramble. Still struggling with the Tendinitis of the Achilles in the ankle so riding my bike is just not happening, still have 4 weeks before my physio appointment, I am just trying to stretch it (as the doctor suggested) as best I can.
I have now got my self a stand for the 5ft fish tank, basically it is a custom built work bench but it was cut down in height, I have added some other mods to it and I am now at a stage where I am just about ready to put the tank on the stand (probably in the next week). We have had to move the current fish tank which was no mean feat. We took all the rock out, then drained the water out of the tank (while saving it to put back in the tank once we had moved it) until there was just enough water for the fish (so about 3″ deeps). Then we tried to move the tank and the stand together, hell it was still heavy. Between the three of us we managed to turn the tank and stand through 180 degrees and move the tank about 4ft from one side of an alcove to the other. Then we put the new stand where the old tank had been. Once the tank is on the stand, then I can start work on building the 3d background for the tank, never tried this before, read a few articles, watched a few youtube video’s, just got to see if I can do it now.
The baby fish are doing well lost a couple but that is to be expected. When we drained the current tank down (for the move) we found another baby fish in the tank, we can only think it was one that mum had spat out after I released her from the fry tank. A couple of days later we noticed another small baby fish in the main tank. He seems to be living down the side of the internal filter, we keep an eye on him but have decided to leave him in the tank otherwise if I try and get him out I could end up scaring out of his hiding place and then he is likely to become lunch for one of the bigger fish.
How was the solar eclipse for you? For me it was the same as it was in 1999, dull, grey and basically a non event, it got slightly darker but had I not known there was going to be an eclipse I may not have noticed it was darker.
Finally before I go, WordPress have been pushing a few updates through which has changed the way things look on this blog. Unfortunately I have not bee paying attention and I have missed some problem that these updates have caused. Hopefully I have sorted most of them now, let me know if you see any other issues. Well I have rambled enough, hopefully when I post next I will be able to show you some picture of the new fish tank, don’t think it will have fish in it but it won’t be far off (hopefully).
