Who makes their own energy drinks??
On longer or more strenuous rides I have found I need to have more than just water (I normally carry 2.5ltr of water with me) to fuel\hydrate myself. I have tired those “Dextrose” type tablets but they don’t seem to do a lot, I can’t stand the smell of Banana’s let alone eat one. I have tried those commercial energy bars and drinks (some of which are bearable) and not to mention flap jacks, jam sandwich and Jelly Babies (which I love), they are not exactly diet friendly. I know there is an argument which say the calories you put on eating\drinking these energy fuels you will burn of, but my thinking goes if I can limit the calories going in and still fuel my body then there will be a greater benefit to me by the end of the ride.
Any thoughts??
