Been a long time since I have updated here, nothing new there then.
Health wise, Karen is struggling, her Sleep Apnea has gone to pot due to the Pneumonia. If does not sleep well she becomes tired all day and cranky. This causes me to have interrupted sleep. If we add in Karen Leg ulcers and lymphoedema, it does paint a pretty picture. so all in all not a good 6 months.

Gym membership has gone, not used in 7 months so I stopped it. Have signed up to an online gym thing, not going well 18 days in and not tried it yet. Blood test result for diabetes came back with an improvement, that was a surprise. Discussion with the doctor and we have agreed to keep medication where is is for now.
Lovely summer sunshine we have had for the past week has proved to me I dislike the hot weather. Summer heat wave was not nice. I (used to) like the sunshine but now it just wipes me out. End up sweating like I have run a marathon.
Still lacking motivation for a lot of things (like writing a blog), sort that issue out and a lot will change health wise.
it’s a cats life
Even the cat has had his share of ill health, had to have 5 teeth removed earlier this year. He lost most of the weight he had put on since we have had him. You could count the vertebrae in his neck and back again. Thankfully he is back on the road to recovery, eating us out of house and home but most importantly putting the weight back on. We can no longer count the vertebrae in his back.

Seem really strange that in a couple of months we finish paying our mortgage. Contacted our Financial Adviser recently, last time was 17 years ago. Life insurance and pensions need an overhaul in the coming months. The realisation I can retire (having reached that certain age) in 17 months is starting to look like a scary prospect. Will I retire in 17 months, I don’t know yet still undecided I am happy doing what I do. The wife is not at retiring age for a couple more years. That will have some impact on my decision.
